Florida Man Dies In Freak Accident Near Miss Bea Road On St. Croix Monday Night

CHRISTIANSTED — A Florida man lost his life when he drove straight into a utility pole on the East End of St. Croix.

William Littell, 49, of Ocala, Florida, was heading westbound in a black Jeep Sahara four-door (with the doors removed) when he hit the pole, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Police said the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report about 9:16 p.m. Monday referring to an accident on the Miss Bea Road on the East End of St. Croix.

“No seat belt was worn at the time of the accident,” VIPD spokesman Glen Dratte said.

Dratte said that Littell’s next of kin were notified prior to this information being released to the public.

Littell’s wife is pictured with him in photos on Facebook depicting his happy times on St. Croix prior to his untimely death.

He was living in Estate Seven Hills while he was on St. Croix.
