CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A heated argument in Mariendahl led to one St. Thomas man being stabbed in the leg on Thursday, authorities said.
Richard Fahie, 38, was arrested about 7 a.m. Friday and charged with third-degree assault and using-carrying a dangerous weapon, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
Police said officers from the Mariel C. Newton Command patrol were dispatched to Estate Mariendahl and discovered a victim stabbed in the right upper thigh about 3 p.m. on Thursday. according to the VIPD.
“The victim was then transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center to seek medical treatment for his injuries,” VIPD spokesman Glen Dratte said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the altercation started from an argument which led to the suspect, later identified as 38-year-old Richard Fahie, stabbing the victim.
Fahie went to the Richard N. Callwood Command on St. Thomas Friday and was arrested.
Unable to post $25,000 bail, he was advised of his Constitutional Rights, booked, processed and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
