Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting of St. Thomas Man In Solberg

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police are investigating an early morning shooting in St. Thomas that left one man injured in Solberg, authorities said.

The victim told police he just arrived home in his driveway when he heard “multiple” gunshots ring out sometime before 3:56 a.m. today, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Officers from the Major Crimes Unit and Criminal Investigation Bureau found the victim at the Schneider Regional Medical Center where he was being treated for a gunshot wound to his right shoulder, according to the VIPD.

This matter is currently under active investigation by the Major Crimes Unit.
