St. Thomas Administrator Avery Lewis Thanks Carnival Organizers For Success of Cultural Events

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — St. Thomas-Water Island Administrator Avery Lewis said he would like to acknowledge and commend all the people and agencies that worked tirelessly to make Carnival 2019 a resounding success. Administrator Lewis recognizes that success is the result of a community of persons working together to achieve a common purpose.

A heartfelt thank you must be given to all the individuals, Government of the Virgin Islands Agencies and Agency Heads for their tireless efforts to make this a safe and happy Carnival for the entire community. In addition, our Federal partners must be recognized for joining hands with local authorities to assist in the management of public events.

Administrator Lewis commends the public for exemplifying Virgin Islands Pride. The support and attendance to all Carnival events were outstanding.

The community showed its resilience in the pageantry and magnificent behavior in keeping the 2019 Carnival festivities safe and clean. We are a community of doers and achievers. The Virgin Islands can do spirit was evident throughout the entire season.

St. Thomas-Water Island Administrator Avery Lewis gives a special nod of appreciation to all the employees of the Department of Human Services who gave so willingly of themselves to make the 2019 Carnival festivities a fun-filled event for our senior citizens. As a community, we must always give honor and consideration to our Senior Citizens. Many moments of joy were attained because of the special attention given to this exceptional segment of our community.
