Armed Man Wearing Dust Mask Robs Woman At Gunpoint At Penthouse Rooftop Nightclub

CHRISTIANSTED — An armed man wearing a white dust mask with a yellow filter robbed a woman at gunpoint at a Castle Coakley nightclub late Friday night, authorities said.

The 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to the Penthouse Rooftop nightclub in Estate Castle Coakley about 11:23 p.m. on Friday regarding a robbery, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“The victim reported that she was accosted by the suspect, who pointed a firearm at her and demanded money,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “The victim complied, and the suspect fled the area.”

The woman told the VIPD that the suspect was wearing a “brown shirt, a mask and a dark colored pants,” Derima said.

“The suspect had a dark complexion, has a medium build, and was wearing aviator sunglasses with a gold frame,” he said. “The white dust mask he had over his face had a yellow filter, and he had on a tan or brown jacket, and he had a Crucian dialect. “

Police officers made a check of the area but did not find the suspect.

This case is currently under active investigation.
