Boat Parade Attended By Thousands On Christiansted Boardwalk Saturday

CHRISTIANSTED — Thousands of people on St. Croix attended the 21st annual Boat Parade near the Christiansted Boardwalk on Saturday evening.

Among those in attendance were: Governor Albert Bryan, Jr., Police Commissioner Trevor Velinor and Deputy Commissioner Celvin G. Walwyn who admired the large crowd gathered.

Police Commissioner Trevor Velinor and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Celvin G. Walwyn admire the crowd gathered on Queen Cross Street from the balcony of the Caravelle Hotel Saturday.

One of the entries said: “Merry WAPA Christmas” and its lights and music went out as it neared the Christiansted boardwalk, to the delight of the nearly two thousand people who attended the event Saturday evening.

It was a festive, safe, and family-oriented event. Commissioner Velinor encouraged families to come out and enjoy festivities this Holiday Season.

Olaf, the popular snowman from the Disney children’s movie “Frozen” was on one of the boat entries Saturday night in St. Croix.
