Police Investigating Armed Robbery w/ 2 Masked Men @ Estate Glynn This Afternoon

MID-ISLAND, ST. CROIX — Police are investigating an armed robbery involving two masked men that took place in Estate Glynn this afternoon, authorities said.

The 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched the officers to a reported robbery in Estate Glynn about 2:48 p.m. today, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that the victim was at the undisclosed location in Glynn when he “heard footsteps,” according to the VIPD.

“The victim stated that two black males wearing all black with their faces covered pointed a gun at him and demanded money,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “The victim told the suspects that he did not have any money and went into another room, where he was assaulted by the suspects.”

The suspects then left the area on foot, police said.

One suspect was described as tall and slim, about 5 feet 10 inches in height. The other suspect was described as short, about 5 feet 6 inches in height.

“People are getting desperate,” D’Angela Cerge said on a Virgin Islands Free Press social media platform.
