On January 18 at 12:11 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of shots fired in Castle Coakley in the vicinity of Thomas Bakery.

“Officers arrived at the scene and found a male on the ground with gunshot wounds about the body,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

The victim was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries, Derima said.
