Caribbean Centers For Boys & Girls V.I. Cancels Programs Due To COVID-19

CHRISTIANSTED — Following the State of Emergency Declaration by Governor Albert Bryan, Jr. on Friday, the Caribbean Centers for Boys & Girls V.I. said it is canceling after-school programs due to COVID-19.

“In keeping with all safety advice and precautions as recommended by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the CDC, and the World Health Organization (WHO), the Caribbean Centers for Boys & Girls V.I. has decided in an abundance of caution, to cancel the pre/after-school programming until further notice,” the non-profit organization said.

This decision goes into effect today.

“Please know this decision was not made in haste, but out of an abundance of caution for the health and well-being of our members and staff,” it said.

Keeping in line with social distance and self-isolation all events scheduled for our Spirit month are also cancelled, except for our Non-Event/ Event “Independence Ball.”
