DOUBLE MURDER: 2 Men Shot Dead Near Old Cockpit In Glynn Friday Night: VIPD

Police detectives and the Medical Examiner respond to Estate Glynn where two gunshot victims were found.

CHRISTIANSTED — Two St. Croix men died after being shot multiple times near the “old cockpit” in Estate Glynn on Friday night, authorities said.

The shooting victims were identified as: Malik Graham, 29, of Estate Glynn and Malcolm Francis, 23, of St. Croix, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The 911 Emergency Call Center received reports about 9:04 p.m. Friday of two people in the bush area of the Old Cockpit in Estate Glynn, and that they appeared to be covered in blood, according to the VIPD.

“Officers arrived and found a male victim with no vital signs and another male victim with signs of life,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

The victim with signs of life was transported via ambulance to the Juan F. Luis Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, Derima said.

“Both males suffered gunshot wounds about the body,” he said.

There have been at least 10 homicides in the territory in 2020; five on St. Thomas and five on St. Croix.
