Smith Bay Man Who Spiked Woman’s Drink With Marijuana Charged With Assault: VIPD

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man who allegedly slipped a woman a mickey was arrested on a domestic violence-related charge Friday, authorities said.

Job N. Nicholas, 46 of Smith Bay was arrested at 1:05 p.m. on Friday and charged with second-degree assault-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Nicholas reportedly mixed marijuana in a drink and served it to the victim without her knowledge,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

Detectives from the Domestic Violence Unit made the arrest of Nicholas, Derima said.

Nicholas was denied bail as per the territory’s domestic violence statute. He was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections (BOC) pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
