CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police are investigating the discovery of a St. Thomas man who was shot to death on the south shore on Friday night, authorities said.
Elon Frett, 28, of Charlotte Amalie was positively identified by relatives as the victim of the shooting, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
The 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of shots fired in Frenchman’s Bay at 7:54 p.m. Friday, according to the VIPD.
“Officers traveled to the area and found an unresponsive black male,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “The male appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.”
Emergency Medical Technicians, who were on the scene, concluded that the male did not have any vital signs, police said.
Frett said on social media that he attended Charlotte Amalie High School and Rockdale County High School in Conyers, Georgia.
He goes by the name Elon “Dezert-e” Frett on Facebook.
