St. Thomas Woman Caught On Video Stealing Purse With Cash In It Charged With Grand Larceny: VIPD

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas woman who was allegedly captured on video stealing a purse with cash and other valuables in it was arrested by police Wednesday night, authorities said.

Kathlyn Reynolds, 32, of Estate Frydendahl, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday and charged with grand larceny, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Reynolds was observed on surveillance as the person who stole a purse containing cash and other items,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau made the arrest of Reynolds, according to Derima.

Bail for Reynolds was set at $20,000. Unable to post bail, she was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
