Governor Bryan Extends Stay At Home Order Until September 8: Government House Says

CHRISTIANSTED — Governor Albert Bryan Jr., announced this morning that he will sign an Executive Order extending the territory’s current Stay at Home order for one more week.

The restrictions under the current Stay At Home Order are set to expire at 6 a.m. on August 31. Governor Bryan’s new Executive Order will extend those restrictions an additional week to 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 8.

The governor is expected to provide additional details during his next weekly coronavirus update at 1 p.m. on Monday.

One person on St. Thomas asked Government House on its own website if public school functions are excluded from the order.

“My grandson has orientation September 4 at Addelita Cancryn parking lot,” Antoinette Day said. “Are we able to attend.”

As of 1 p.m. today, no one from Governor Bryan’s staff had responded to Ms. Day’s question.
