FREDERIKSTED — The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) said effective today scrap metal will only be accepted at the Anguilla Landfill Monday through Saturday.
“There will be no scrap metal disposal on Sundays until further notice,” VIWMA spokeswoman Melody Rames said. “Residents are reminded that illegal dumping is a crime which negatively affects the beauty of our Virgin Islands.”
