St. Thomas Woman Shot On Kronprindsens Gade In Charlotte Amalie Today

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to Kronprindsens Gade downtown after a report of shots fired with a possible gunshot victim came in about 3:56 p.m. today, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

When officers arrived on the scene, police discovered “an adult female with a gunshot wound,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

The unnamed injured woman was taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC) for treatment, according to the VIPD

This case is currently under active investigation.

The VIPD is urging anyone who saw what happened to contact police by calling 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211, or the paying anonymous tip line Crime Stoppers USVI at (800) 222-8477.

“Please remember, if you see something, say something,” Derima said.
