CRUZ BAY — For the second time in two years, a St. John man has been arrested on an illegal gun charge, authorities said.

Jarius Penn was arrested Thursday and charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, St. John Deputy Chief Vivianne P. Newton said.

Penn was one of three men arrested for “constructive possession of a firearm” on October 22, 2018 after a robbery was allegedly committed by two minors in Cruz Bay, police records indicate.

He was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
