CHRISTIANSTED — The Virgin Islands Police Department is informing the motoring public that the intersection of Highway 70 with the Queen Mary Highway will be closed temporarily starting Friday morning.
The section of roadway known as the “Catherine’s Rest Road” and Queen Mary Highway will be closed to traffic so AT&T can complete trenching in the area to lay fiber optic lines across the intersection, the VIPD said.
From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 20, traffic will be detoured through neighboring Hermon Hill, police said.
