Kareem Richardson Wanted For Murder In Shooting Of Catherine's Hope Man: VIPD

WANTED: Kareem Richardson, 40, of Estate Tutu, St. Thomas.

COTTON VALLEY — Police have a person of interest in the shooting death of a Catherine’s Hope man at the beginning of the month.

“The VIPD is looking for Kareem L. Richardson, 40, who is wanted for the November 1 homicide of Bomani Christian,” the Virgin Islands Police Department said on Twitter this afternoon.

Police found Christian shot in the back near his East End St. Croix home nearly four weeks ago, VIPD records indicate.

“The investigation into this incident revealed Christian was assaulted by two, unidentified, Black males who left the area in a dark maroon SUV, police spokesman Toby Derima said on November 2.

Richardson lives on Fisher Street in Christiansted, St. Croix, police said on Sunday November 29.

In April 2006, a “Kareem Richardson” was charged with first-degree murder along with three other men for the prison stabbing death of fellow inmate Timothy Heidman, according to police records.

In November 1999, a “Kareem Richardson” of #58-B Dronningens Gade, St. Thomas was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Perry Brathwaite, police records indicate.
