Vice President Of Home Security Company Accused Of Stealing $300K From Dad

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas executive has been arrested on charges that he stole at least $300,000 from his father and tried to conceal the crime from the federal government so he wouldn’t have to pay taxes on the money he stole.

Lenroy Ravalier, Jr., of Estate Wintberg, was arrested for bank fraud, aggravated identity theft, money laundering, and related charges, U.S. Attorney Gretchen C.F. Shappert said today.

According to the Indictment filed in the case, Ravalier forged checks in his father’s name totaling over $300,000, in order to obtain those funds for himself.

Ravalier then moved much of the money through various bank accounts in order to conceal the unlawful activity.

Ravalier is vice president of Centurion Security Systems, Inc. in Estate Wintberg, St. Thomas. An “M. Rose Ravalier” is the president of Centurion.

This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Nathan Brooks.

An indictment is merely a formal charging document, and it is not evidence of guilt.

Every defendant is presumed innocent until and unless found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
