VIPD Hires ‘Professional’ TV Production Crew To Shoot Police Recruiting Video

FREDERIKSTED — The Virgin Islands Police Department is stepping up its police cadet recruiting game.

After Virtual Career Fairs advertised on social media in July didn’t allow the VIPD to meet its quota of new officers …

“Are you looking to start your career in public safety?” the VIPD wote. “Attend our virtual career fair and talk directly with our recruiters and public safety professionals.”

… the boys have “gone Hollywood,” by hiring a production crew to create a video message that is intended to attract more viable recruits.

One of the production crew wore a t-shirt for WTJX Channel 12, the local PBS affiliate in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The VIPD posted pictures of the work in progress to Facebook recently.
