Vehicular Traffic Diverted In Frenchtown For Sewer Line Repair, VIWMA Says

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) said that sewer line repairs are ongoing to replace 15 feet of damaged lines in Frenchtown on St. Thomas.

Work began Thursday and is expected to be completed by or before Sunday, December 13, VIWMA said.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane from the Twisted Cork Restaurant to the Oceana Restaurant while the repairs are being completed,” VIWMA spokeswoman Melody Rames said. “Motorists approaching the area are asked to slow down, proceed with caution and obey the instructions of the road crew.”

The Authority hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please call 844-WMA-USVI (844-962-8784) to report any overflow or service interruption.
