Public Works Closes VITRAN Office Due To 'Several' Confirmed Cases of COVID-19

CHRISTIANSTED — The Department of Public Works is advising the community that effective immediately, VITRAN’s St. Croix office will be closed until further notice, due to at least two confirmed cases of COVID-19.

“This closure will allow the department to properly disinfect the office to protect employees and clients,” DPW spokeswoman Renee Exius said today.

DPW said it is urging the community to “take personal responsibility and practice good hygiene to reduce their risk of contracting and/or spreading the coronavirus. “
