CHRISTIANSTED — VIPD’s COVID-19 Task Force and Deputy Police Commissioner Celvin G. Walwyn was monitoring the crowds at the Kallalloo Man at Estate Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

The Virgin Islands Police Department has been encouraging everyone to follow the governor’s coronavirus protocols mandate — whether they are indoors or outside.

“Let us continue to flatten the curve by wearing a mask,” the VIPD said on Twitter.

Earlier in the week, the police top brass on St. Croix and St. Thomas encouraged all VIPD officers to “mask up” when they are in proximity to other people.

Assistant Police Commissioner Mario Brooks leads by example at Roll Call on St. Thomas, stressing situational awareness and wearing a mask to help flatten the curve.
