Havensight Bar Owners Warned Not To Sell Alcohol To Minors At Carnival Event

CHARLOTTE AMALIE —  The Virgin Islands Police Department, St. Thomas / St. John District, is advising individuals and bar owners around the Havensight area that the VIPD will have a pronounced presence for the Carnival event on April 30.

Individuals and bar owners are reminded that the legal drinking age is 18 years old.  Individuals and business owners who knowingly serve alcoholic beverages to minors will be held accountable, according to the VIPD.

The territory has the authority to take action against the business where alcohol was sold to a minor. That may include a fine, an arrest, a suspension of the sales license or the loss of the license to include the closure of the business.
