CHRISTIANSTED — The Department of Public Works was out restoring St. Croix roadway signs that were destroyed by Hurricane Maria in 2017.

A Celestine Construction LLC employee worked by himself to install a “left-turn-only” sign on the Christiansted Bypass near Estate Richmond on St. Croix this morning.

Phinehas Weekes of St. Croix assembled the signs in the back of his pickup truck and then erected the sign in its proper place.
