CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man has been arrested after allegedly stalking a woman who took out a protective against him, authorities said.
Darrell D. Thomas, 49, of Anna’s Retreat, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. Saturday and charged with contempt of court, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
“Thomas allegedly stalked a victim, showing up at multiple locations where the victim visited and proceeded to make contact on April 30, despite a restraining order forbidding him to engage with the victim,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
Thomas was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections without bail pending an advice-of -rights hearing.
All individuals listed as arrested or charged with a crime in this report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
