Police Need Your Help To Identify Body Of Woman Found Near South Shore Today

CATHERINE’S REST — Police need your help tonight to identify the body of a woman that was found in an isolated, hilly area of St. Croix today, authorities said.

The 911 Emergency Call Center was notified of an apparent dead body near the roadway in Estate Bugby Hole about 8:36 a.m. today, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Officers traveled to the area and located a deceased female in advanced decomposition,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “Detectives on the scene were unable to ascertain the deceased’s race or age, based on the condition of the body.”

Police are appealing to the community for assistance in identifying this person.
