Texas Woman Charged With Grand Larceny After Stolen Jewelry Recovered: VIPD

CRUZ BAY — A Texas woman was arrested Friday on felony theft charges in St. John in connection to receiving stolen property, authorities said.

Jennifer Northcutt, 53, of Richardson, Texas was arrested and charged with grand larceny and possession of stolen property, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The charges against Northcutt stem from an alleged theft in a jewelry store that occurred on Wednesday in St. John, according to the VIPD.

Bail for Northcutt was set at $20,000. Unable to make bail, she was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections pending an advice-of-rights hearing.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
