CHRISTIANSTED — The Virgin Islands Department of Health confirmed the 105th COVID-related death in a statement issued at 10:57 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim was identified as an 89-year-old man on St. Croix, according to the VIDOH.
Health officials continue to urge residents to get vaccinated, noting that the COVID-19 vaccine can prevent severe illness and death.
