Minor Has Gun Put To His Head By Men Wearing Ski Masks Inside St. Thomas Movie Theater: VIPD

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police are investigating after a minor male said a male wearing a ski mask put a gun to his head and robbed him of a gold chain inside a St. Thomas movie theater.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau responded to the Newton Command Police Station in reference to an armed robbery that occurred February 26, 2022, in the vicinity of the Caribbean Cinema in St. Thomas, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“The victim a minor male was at the movie theater with his friends and family,” the VIPD said on Facebook “The victim stated that he was approached by several males wearing full ski masks.”

The victim further stated, one male placed a gun at his head and told him to remove his gold Gucci chain and then the suspects fled the area in a dark-colored Acura.

Police did not say why the victim waited until 2:00 p.m. Sunday to make a police report about the Saturday incident.

This case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB).
