Feuding Neighbors Choose Gunfire To Settle Dispute In Union and Mt. Washington

CHRISTIANSTED — Two feuding neighbors tried to settle a dispute in Estate Union and Mt. Washington by firing their guns and causing property damage, authorities said.

Members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau investigated a complaint of reckless endangerment in
Union and Mt. Washington after two neighbors fired multiple shots at each other causing property damage, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Investigation revealed that the neighbors have been feuding for a while and that during a
verbal disturbance someone opened fire and multiple shots were discharged from both sides
of the property line,” VIPD Communications Director Glen Dratte said.

This shooting is currently under active investigation. If you have any information that might be helpful to police please call 911.
