Help Police Find 'Yellow' Suspect Wanted For Domestic Violence In Attack With Knife

FREDERIKSTED — Police need your help tonight to find a St. Croix man wanted for a domestic violence incident.

Jelani “Yellow” Ferdinand is wanted in connection to a first-degree burglary-domestic violence incident, the Virgin Islands Police Department said on Twitter.

Ferdinand “entered a home at Louis E . Brown Apartments and attacked someone after he armed himself with a knife,” according to the VIPD.

The suspect is a Black male with brown eyes, black hair and a light complexion. He stands 6-feet, 4-inches tall and weighs about 189 pounds.

Ferdinand is known to frequent the Estate Richmond, Louis E. Brown Apartments (Estate Paradise) and Estate Mon Bijou areas of St. Croix, police said.

The St. Croix native has distinguishing marks such as two tattoos of marijuana leaves on each arm.

This is not the first time Ferdinand has been wanted by police. The VIPD also issued a wanted poster on “Yellow” in May of this year for an alleged child abuse incident.

If you see Jelani “Yellow” Ferdinand, or know his whereabouts you are asked to please call 911, or the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) at (340) 778-2211 and ask for Detective E. Quailey. You can also call the confidential tip line Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
