KINGSHILL — Takeoff for takeout! Tasty rotisserie chicken takeout no less.

Some hungry Puerto Rico National Guardsmen flew on “special military operation” to St. Croix for rotisserie chicken recently, according to a social media post.

Jeffrey Stewart snapped this picture of the PRNG helicopter on the ground at the La Reine Chicken Shack in Estate La Reine and posted it to Facebook.

“La Reine Chicken Shack. You know their chicken is some good stuff when the Puerto Rico National Guard lands out back for take out! (thumbs up emoji),” Stewart said. “Ran across this looking at my old pics. Taken in 2010, I believe.”

People really got into the spirit of the “Puerto Rico special military operation” to St. Croix on Facebook where plenty of laughing emojis were added to the social media post.

“Wow I missed that one and I love chicken Ill look up next time I’m on island. Looks like the Puerto Rico national guard wearing civvies,” Frank A. Johnson said on Facebook.
