SUV Fire In Solberg Considered Suspicious, Under Investigation By Police In St. Thomas

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Virgin Islands Police are investigating after detectives traveled to the Solberg area after 911 received a call at 9:02 p.m. Sunday concerning a possible vehicle fire.

Officers discovered that firefighters were in the process of extinguishing the fire when they got on the scene. Responding units found a four door SUV, unknown color, no license plates, and no
visible VIN at the time, according to the VIPD.

Virgin Islands Fire Services explained that upon their arrival they observed the vehicle abandoned and engulfed in fire to include a small brush fire adjacent the vehicle, police said.

This case is currently under active investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB).
