CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A complaint about bottled water led to one man getting punched in the face near the St. Thomas airport.
Joseph Fenton, 39, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and charged with third-degree assault and disturbance of the peace, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau arrested Fenton in connection to an investigation of an
assault case in Lindbergh Bay last year, according to the VIPD.
Fenton struck the victim twice in the face causing injuries during what seemed to have been a misunderstanding at Crown Mountain Water on September 1, 2022, VIPD spokeswoman Kishma Chichester said.
Bail for Fenton was set at $25,000.00. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
This case is currently under active investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
