3 tropical waves headed to the Caribbean, none expected to become storms

SAN JUAN — The National Hurricane Center has identified the third tropical wave off the west coast of Africa. It has no potential for cyclonic development.

As the first tropical wave moves away from our region, groups of showers will continue to enter the region, keeping the flood risk high. Keep an eye out for any bulletins issued during the day..

The risk of offshore currents is low, but lightning activity is possible near rain areas.
