CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Two young men were charged Thursday in connection to a shooting that injured a man at Oswald Harris Court in St. Thomas last November.
Azani Prentice, 18, and Tony Isaac, 19, were arrested and charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, willful discharge of a firearm, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and conspiracy, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Bureau made the arrests of Prentice and Isaac based on an arrest warrant issued by the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands, according to the VIPD.

Bail for Prentice and Isaac was set at $500,000.00 each.
The shooting incident occurred near the Oswald Harris Court housing community on November 24, 2024, police said.
Azani Prentice, aided by Tony Isaac, was observed on video footage shooting at the male victim several times, as the victim fled the area of Oswald Harris Court on foot, according to police.

“As a result, the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds,” VIPD spokeswoman Kishma Chichester said.
Isaac and Prentice were captured by officers with the VIPD and agents with the U.S. Marshals Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, according to Chichester.
This case remains open and under active investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
