KINGSTON — Jamaican police are investigating the murder of a retired American nurse this weekend.

Murray’s body was found at 11:26 a.m. lying face down in a pool of blood with an electric chord wrapped around her neck, according to police.

Her body was subsequently taken to the morgue for an autopsy to be performed at date to be determined.

Police have determined that Murray was attacked sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.

Police believe some of Murray’s attackers might have driven away with the vehicle after exiting her home.
