Lottery player wins life-changing prize in Georgia. Where was lucky ticket sold?

ATLANTA — Someone in Georgia is holding a lottery ticket worth nearly $270,000.

A Fantasy 5 player hit the jackpot, winning $268,094 on a ticket sold at a Crossroads convenience store off Highway 212 in Conyers, according to the Georgia Lottery.

The ticket matched all five numbers in the Feb. 23 drawing, beating odds of 1-in-850,668 to win the top prize, results show.

The winning numbers Sunday were 3-9-14-16-23, per the lottery’s website.

It’s the latest big lottery win for the Peach State, coming less than a week after another Fantasy 5 player netted a $179,870 jackpot prize in the February 19 drawing, McClatchy News reported.

That winning ticket was sold in Dallas, lottery officials confirmed. Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, the Georgia Lottery said.

Conyers is about a 20-mile drive east from downtown Atlanta.
