SAN JUAN — A perturbation in the atmosphere is expected to reach our area today, which will increase shower activity in the islands, the National Weather Service said.

Swimmers should know there is a moderate risk of “life-threatening” rip currents with waves up to 5-feet high, the NWS said.
Mariners should expect hazardous marine conditions through tomorrow at 6:00 a.m., according to the NWS.
Meanwhile, there is an elevated fire danger risk for the southern hills and southern coastal plains of Puerto Rico from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. today, the NWS said.
