CHRISTIANSTED — St. Croix will have intervals of clouds and sunshine, with a passing shower or two in the afternoon, for a high of 85, AccuWeather said.
Tonight St. Croix will be clear to partly cloudy for a low of 73, according to AccuWeather.
Relatively calm weather conditions prevailed last night, the National Weather Service said.
A frontal boundary and upper-level troughs will increase moisture content as early as this afternoon going into tomorrow, according to the NWS.
This gradual increase in moisture should be seen at the latest from this evening onwards with the wettest period expected from Thursday through Saturday, the NWS said.
Atmospheric conditions will become more favorable for shower development tomorrow, according to the NWS.
“The flood risk will likely remain elevated through the weekend,” it said on X.
Meanwhile, a swell will deteriorate marine and coastal conditions tomorrow, the NWS said.
Small Craft Advisories and a High Risk of Rip Currents are in effect from 6:00 a.m. AST through at least 6:00 p.m. AST tomorrow, according to the NWS.
The risk of life-threatening rip currents for north-central Puerto Rico and Culebra; elsewhere, the risk is low today, the NWS said.
