CHRISTIANSTED — Today St. Croix will have a brief morning shower or two; otherwise, it will be windy with intervals of clouds and sunshine and a high of 87, AccuWeather said.
Tonight St. Croix will be breezy in the evening turning to partly cloudy with a couple of showers late and a low of 75, according to AccuWeather.
For the islands in general, breezy conditions will continue resulting in hazardous marine and coastal conditions, the National Weather Service said.
These conditions will persist throughout the upcoming week and the winds are expected to become even more fierce, according to the NWS.
“Stay alert!” it said on X.
The strong winds will bring passing showers in the coming week, life threatening rip currents, and choppy, hazardous seas, according to the NWS.
The rain will lead to a ponding of water in roadways and low-lying areas and possible isolated urban flooding, the NWS said.
