Clouds galore, morning thunderstorms, afternoon showers, high 85

CHRISTIANSTED — Today St. Croix will see variable cloudiness with a couple of morning thunderstorms followed by afternoon showers and a high of 85, AccuWeather said.

Tonight St. Croix will be mostly cloudy with periods of rain, some heavy, followed by a thunderstorm late and a low of 75, according to AccuWeather.

Across the islands, Sunday will bring scattered showers and storms with flooding risk in highlighted areas, the National Weather Service said.

The risk of rip currents is low today; however, life-threatening rip currents often occur in the vicinity of jetties, reefs, and piers, the NWS said.

“Similar conditions are forecast to prevail this upcoming week,” the NWS said on X. “If you hear thunder, seek shelter immediately!”
