PHILIPSBURG — Starlink, the satellite-based internet service, is now available in Sint Maarten.
Starlink’s official announcement on X confirms this, with users able to order and receive service.
However, there’s a nuance: the Dutch side of Sint Maarten has specific regulations regarding telecommunications.
Starlink’s operations on the Dutch side require a license from Bureau Telecommunications and Post (BTP), and they are currently not authorized to operate legally there.
Despite this, Starlink’s services are available on the twin-nation island it shares with the French Republic.
