CHRISTIANSTED — Today St. Croix will be partly sunny and breezy with an afternoon shower and a high of 89, AccuWeather said.
Tonight St. Croix will experience partly cloudy conditions and a low of 77, according to AccuWeather.
There is a moderate risk of rip currents extending to most beaches of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. the National Weather Service said.
“If you plan on going to the beach, be aware of possible life-threatening rip currents in the area and heed the advice of flag warning systems,” the NWS said on X.
Winds will gradually increase today, promoting breezy conditions across the area, according to the NWS.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon, mainly over western Puerto Rico, the NWS said.
Heat indexes above 100 degrees Fahrenheit may cause discomfort, stay hydrated.
