A public health alert followed by a nationwide spinach recall for listeria

CALEDONIA, Minnesota — Organic spinach, both bulk and cut, has been recalled nationwide after testing found listeria.

Sno Pac Foods recalled Sno Pac Organic Frozen Cut Spinach in 10-ounce bags and Del Mar Bulk Organic Frozen Spinach in 35-pound boxes the day after Sno Pac spinach in HelloFresh meals triggered a public health alert.

“A bulk case of spinach from our supplier was tested and found positive for listeria monocytogenes and was of the same lot code we used to repack the Sno Pac Organic Frozen Cut Spinach into 10 oz packages,” said Sno Pac’s recall notice, posted on the FDA website.

For the Sno Pac bags, this covers lot Nos. SPM1.190.5, best by 7/9/27; SPC1.160.5, best by 6/9/27’; SPC2.160.5, best by 6/9/27; and SPM1.097.5, best by 4/7/27. For the Del Mar boxes, this covers lot Nos. 250107A, 250107B, 250107C, 250107D, 2501071, and 2501073, with a 1/7/27 expiration date.
