‘Flaco’ suspect faces attempted murder charge after stabbing near Fat Man’s Bar

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police are investigating after a suspect with a slender build stabbed a man near the former Fat Man’s Bar in St. Thomas, authorities said.

Damas Gallant, 37, was arrested and charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, and carrying or using a dangerous weapon, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The charges stem from an October 28 incident in which officers were dispatched to the roadway across from the former Fat Man’s Bar about 6:26 p.m., in reference to a male who sustained a stab wound to the left side of his chest, according to the VIPD.
