Governor reflects on the death of American Airlines’ Peter Dolara

CHRISTIANSTED— Governor Albert Bryan Jr. issued the following statement on the passing of
longtime American Airlines executive Peter J. Dolara:

“I was saddened to learn of the passing of Peter Dolara and join the people of the Virgin Islands, the
Caribbean and the American Airlines family in mourning a man who reshaped air service throughout our

“His colleagues called him ‘El Jefe.’ We will remember him as a pioneer of Caribbean air service, a
strong advocate for St. Croix and a valued partner of the Virgin Islands.

“On behalf of the people and Government of the Virgin Islands, I extend my condolences to Peter’s
family, his friends and the American Airlines team. The connections he built and the opportunities he
created across the Caribbean will continue to honor his memor
