Man faces domestic violence charge for smashing car’s glass at Coki Point

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man is facing a domestic violence charge for allegedly smashing the back window of a woman’s vehicle at Coki Point.

Kadeem Roumo, 35, was arrested and charged with destruction to property-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Responding officers were dispatched to Coki Point on a report of “assault and damage to property” at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, according to the VIPD.

When officers’ arrived at Coki Point, they interviewed a woman who stated that Kadeem Roumo was the person who damaged the back glass of her vehicle, police said.

Roumo was taken into official custody and transported to the Richard N. Callwood Police Central Command where he was booked and processed.

No bail was offered to Roumo in keeping with the territory’s domestic violence laws.

The suspect was transferred to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the St. Thomas jail.

Roumo is scheduled for an advice-of-rights hearing at the Superior Court in Charlotte Amalie.
